2010 WAS A GREAT YEAR!

The Maritime Technical Center is looking forward to the results of
the active Fundraising program in
2011.

Recent Events

1.      We have obtained a Certification Curriculum outline that will ensure that every student with a passing grade in the final exam will leave MTC with a highly respected Marine Trade Certificate.

2.       During the Business to Business partnership drive, the Maritime Technical Center was invited to join the Puerto Rican Chamber
of Commerce of South Florida
(Miami Office). We are hoping to create partnerships with fellow members who are interested in
joining a venture that promotes sustainable vocational education.

3.      The second Board Meeting took place in December, 2010.
The Board discussed where we are and planned the near term
goals. Agenda items included Fundraising metods ad training, a
discussion of the Board Member tasks and the development of a Fundraising Strategy. The hotels rooms were graciously donated
by the DoubleTree Hotel in Berkeley, and the Members enjoyed a donation of the Holiday Lights tour of San Francisco.

4.      The Documentation for the Adopt a Workshop program is   available for review by the Board. This program will present  businesses & suppliers with a vehicle to promote their products   and/or services.  Click here to download a copy of the newsletter.

The MTC team is proud to announce  the receipt of our 501 (c)(3) status from both the IRS and the State of California. This allows us to receive tax-deductible donations to get others involved in our venture.

We are hoping to enlist additional Board Members. Individuals with a little time on their hands to volunteer are very welcome.
There is a lot of planning still to be done, and if you would like to be a part of this venture, please write to:
